Exit Popup enabling you to display a jQuery modal window, which can include text, images, videos, forms, maps and so on, before a visitor leaves your website.

Exit Popup intelligently detects the mouse behaviors and then pops up a modal window when your visitors are about to close the current webpage, helping you increase your landing page conversion rates, newsletter subscribers and so on.
From experience, you can expect a 7% to 12% conversion rate increase – depending on your audience, traffic quality and offer.

I can’t seem to respond to an existing comment, so I’ll create this new one. In regards to my question about displaying the popup on our home page I’m 100% sure it’s the Brontobytes exit popup that we’re using as your logo in on the bottom of the plugin settings page in our wordpress admin panel. Any more specific help on how to activate the popup on the home page of our site would be great.

    Hi Matt, I believe you might be using another plugin as we don’t have that setting that you mentioned. Ours does offer this one: “Exclude from Posts/Pages”. In any plugin where it asks on what page to use this with, you have to enter the page name. You can find the page name in WordPress > Pages.

    Hi Frank, our Exit Popup WordPress plugin does not close on its own unless you click on the Footer (Text) or click outside of the modal/popup, if you have that set up in its settings.

• La famosa X de cierra de ventana.

Deberían construir otra aplicación igual a esta pero ya no de salida, sino de entrada, para abrir un Pop Up a través de un código corto que se pudiera pegar en páginas específicas.

Estoy dispuesto a pagar por un complemento como este SOLO POR EL HECHO de ser tan sencillo manipularlo. Si ya se, existes cientos de complementos donde puedo pagar pero son excesivamente engorrosos para configurarlos.

is there a way to add a red [X] field in the right corner to close the pop up?
Not all of my visitors are smart enough to click outside of the popup to close it.

Hi I’e just activated this on a test WordPress site. I’m trying it out. How do I preview any changes that I make. It triggered once, but now it won’t popup again, so I can’t see (or experiment) with any changes that I make?

    You can set Cookie Expire to -1 so it triggered on each visit or open new incognito/private windows each time.

      1) Yes, I tired setting it to -1 but it still wouldn’t trigger the popup. Will try reinstalling it.
      2) Not sure what code to put in that box.
      3) If I do get it to work, which email will the subscriber details be sent to? Would it be admin email in WordPress?

      Ok. Just to let you the incognito works fine, but the -1 only works sometimes once the -1 has been changed.

      1) Is there any way to trigger the popup on a mobile phone/device?

      2) Can the pop be triggered by a time delay, so that it popups say x seconds/minutes after the user visits the site?

        If the cookie is already set, -1 won’t work. You need to clear that cookie first.

        This plugin is designed to detect mouse behavior (so it will work only on devices with a mouse) and then pops up a modal window when your visitor is about to close the current webpage.

    Last update of this extension was 4 months ago and we never faced such an issue. I would recommend uninstalling and re-installing the plugin in case something was corrupted during the update.

I have a plan you could implement which will help a lot for mobile user. Like there should be a way to display it on Mobile. Like when people wait in a page for time of period/or touch/tap a number of time and then trigger the popup so we can capture mobile visitor. because In my site I have 90% visitor from Mobile.

Hi Leo,
I am using the plugin with satisfaction, but in Chrome and Edge the popup appears after each new page load. Even though I have set the cookie expiration set to 1 for appearance every day. Now it appears on every page. In IE-11 it behaves as expected. Only once per visit.
What can I do to fix this?

    I have tested the plugin with both mentioned browsers and I can confirm the plugin works properly. Make sure you clear your browser’s and WordPress’ cache and try again.

Can I set the plugin to only appear once per user?
Now, when a user intents to exit on page 1 he will get the popup, and then decides to go to page 2 ant intents to exit, he will get the popup again.

    This can be achieved by entering a value other than “-1” to “Cookie Expire (days)” in Settings.

    We will consider this feature and maybe implement it in the near future.
    For the time being, you can use a third party service. There are plenty free online counters you can choose and simply implement their javascript code in your modal window.

Hello,

I recently added your plugin to my site. Does it have the capabilities to connect with Benchmark autoresponder? I am also looking to integrate the exit intent pop up. Is this all possible in the free version? Any help would be appreciated as I was not able to get it to work. Thanks

    I’m not sure how Benchmark autoresponder works but if it can be triggered by plain html code, then you can add that code to exit modal.
    ps. There isn’t a paid version of our Exit Popup for WordPress.

I have an issue when saving after making changes. When I save the changes are not saved. I’ve tried login out of the dashboard and also clearing my cache. I have to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it for it to work. I’m having this issue with WordPress 4.9.4.

IDEA: As it is not working on mobile browsers you could add a field for a timer/count-down (working only in mobile browsers) for the pop-up to appear. I know it will not be an “exit” popup but it would still be working in all platforms (especially if someone knows the average stay in their website, then it can be pretty precise!)

Any thoughts?

I would like to use a video in the pop up but it isn’t very effective if I doesn’t autoplay. I got it to autoplay but it play as soon as the page loads. No mouse movement at all. Any ideas?

Where can I enable or disable it? I don’t see the “Enable?” option as like in the screenshot anywhere in my settings.

    This has been disabled as you can enable or disable the plugin from WP Settings.

    Make sure you save somewhere your Body(HTML) snippet as by disabling the plugin it removes its entries from the db to keep WordPress clean.

I’m using it at my website for a few days and it’s working correctly. Actually I have setup it to show the popup every 90 days. If one visitor completed the subscription will see the popup again after 90 days? Thank you for share it.

    Since the plugin has no control over your “subscriptions”, the only way to control it from showing again is using a cookie. So yes, even if the user has been subscribed, it will so again after 90 days.

    Ideally the modal window will show in front of any other div, so it will cover the menu. Also, depending on the screen resolution, your menu will adjust position. If this is not working properly, sent over your URL to have a look at it.

    Set “Cookie Expire (days)” to “-1” under Settings > Exit Popup (or) open the page in New Incognito Window if you are using Chrome.
